Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 and Fold8 Ultra sales jump 50% in Europe
Samsung Electronics reported a 50 percent surge in combined European sales for its Galaxy Z Fold8 and Fold8 Ultra compared to the previous generation, alongside a 60 percent rise in iPhone users switching to the devices. The company’s commercial update highlighted that 20 percent of Galaxy Z Flip8 buyers migrated from rival brands, while existing Flip owners upgraded to the larger Fold8 at triple the prior rate. The Fold8 starts at USD 1,899, with the Ultra featuring an 8-inch display and a reduced chassis weight of roughly 201 grams. Samsung’s dual-tier pricing and engineering refinements, including slimmer hinges and reduced creases, have driven mainstream adoption of book-style foldables. U.S. sales for the Fold8 models also ran 30 percent ahead of the Fold7, with the two models comprising 80 percent of Samsung’s foldable purchases there.
