Apple's iPhone Duo hands-on: A foldable phone-tablet hybrid that sets a new standard

Apple unveiled the iPhone Duo, its first foldable device, which combines a phone and tablet in a polished design with optimized software, though it costs $1,999 and is heavier than rivals. The device is set for pre-order on October 16 and release on October 23. The Duo features a 5.4-inch cover display and 7.6-inch main screen with a barely visible crease, IP68 water and dust resistance, titanium build, and dual 48MP rear cameras. It runs on an A20 Pro processor with a 7-core GPU, offering up to 40% faster graphics and 44 hours of video playback on the outer display. Apple redesigned its apps for right-side controls and adaptive content based on device angle, with third-party support from Netflix, Zoom, and Slack. The device supports Apple Pencil, Smart Take photos, and Duo FaceTime calls, though it lacks a dedicated telephoto lens.
