Zelensky says Russia hit Ukraine's energy sector 76 times in week after Trump ceasefire announcement
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky accused Russia of attacking Ukraine's energy sector 76 times in the week since US President Donald Trump announced a halt to strikes on energy infrastructure. Zelensky stated on X that Russia deliberately targeted the energy sector and oil and gas industry, with recent attacks hitting power stations in the Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytskyi, and Odesa regions. Neither Kyiv nor Moscow has confirmed the ceasefire agreement announced by Trump. Trump has repeatedly accused Zelensky of striking Russian oil refineries, which he says drives up global fuel prices. Last week, Trump suggested it was time for Ukraine to have a new president.
