Three Turkey-Moscow flights diverted over Vnukovo restrictions

news.mail.ru (Russian) —

Three flights from Turkey to Moscow's Vnukovo airport were forced to turn back due to temporary flight restrictions. The aircraft reversed course over Poland and Lithuania. The flights from Antalya, Istanbul, and Izmir diverted to Istanbul's Sabiha Gökçen airport for a stopover. Carriers will decide whether passengers continue on the same planes or transfer to other flights, with no departure time to Moscow announced yet. Russia's aviation agency imposed restrictions on Vnukovo and Domodedovo airports for flight safety. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin reported 195 drones were shot down near the city on October 17, including 51 in the evening.
