Ukraine to enforce power outage schedules on October 18

unian.net (Russian) —

On Sunday, October 18, Ukraine will enforce power limitation schedules for businesses and hourly blackout schedules for all consumer categories, as announced by Ukrenergo. The restrictions for industry and businesses will apply nationwide from 06:00 to 23:59, with hourly outages for households (0.5 to 1.5 queues) in some regions during the same period, caused by the aftermath of Russian attacks on energy infrastructure. Regional operators advise monitoring official channels for updates. Specific schedules were published for Cherkasy, Zhytomyr, Sumy, Poltava, Kyiv, and Chernihiv regions, with Kyiv residents directed to check via the "Kyiv Digital" app or YASNO. Recent Russian strikes hit over 15 energy facilities, leaving Vinnitsa in a full blackout on October 17.
