Russian strikes kill eight in Ukraine and cut power to one million
Russian strikes across Ukraine on Friday killed at least eight people and wounded 60, targeting shopping centers and energy infrastructure, leaving over one million customers without power. Moscow also claimed capture of Dobropillia, unconfirmed by Kyiv. Attacks hit multiple regions including Kharkiv, Kramatorsk, Dnipropetrovsk, and Volyn, where a drone struck a food processing plant. Two shopping centers in Sumy and Rivne were also hit, with casualties reported at each location. Ukrainian energy officials restored power to over one million consumers, though the number still affected remains unclear. Russia additionally claimed control of two more eastern communities, as its territorial advances have slowed in recent months.
