Italy’s defense minister explains why Ukraine can never win

Italian Defense Minister Guido Crosetto stated Ukraine can "never win" the war against Russia, arguing that a military victory involving the defeat of Russia is impossible. He defined Ukraine's true victory as achieving survival and freedom. Crosetto said Ukraine's victory means Russia withdraws, stops bombing, and Ukraine becomes a free country again. He noted most Italian citizens oppose military aid to Ukraine, but the government continues support, having delivered 12 aid packages with another expected by year's end. Crosetto said Putin aims to restore Russia to its pre-Soviet collapse status and will not stop at Ukraine, citing Russia's military buildup to 1.5 million soldiers. He warned Europe and NATO are preparing for potential further Russian aggression.
