Finnish airport takes Hurghada flight diverted from St. Petersburg

novayagazeta.ru (Russian) —

A passenger flight from Hurghada to St. Petersburg made an unscheduled landing in Helsinki on the night of October 17 after Pulkovo airport refused to accept it due to the "Kover" plan and a drone attack threat. The Red Sea Airlines flight RFX321 refueled in Finland and departed again for Pulkovo, according to the Finnish Border Guard. The night was the second consecutive tense one for Moscow and St. Petersburg airports, with hundreds of flights delayed and dozens canceled. Aircraft in the air were diverted to neighboring regions, while Pulkovo served as a reserve for flights unable to land in Moscow, with passengers transported overland.
