Ukrainian Drone Attack on St Petersburg and Leningrad Region Kills One, Injures 15
A Ukrainian drone attack on oil facilities, logistics hubs, and data centres in St Petersburg and the Leningrad region killed one person and injured 15 others, local authorities reported on Sunday. Governor Alexander Beglov said fires broke out at the St Petersburg oil terminal, an oil depot, and industrial warehouses. E-commerce firm Ozon reported its logistics hub was on fire, while internet company VK confirmed its data centre was attacked but services remained normal. Ukrainian drone producer Fire Point said the military struck the VK facility. Russia's Defence Ministry said air defence downed 1,015 Ukrainian drones overnight. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated Russia is responding with systematic, large-scale strikes, adding that the Kyiv regime's resistance cannot change the course of events.
