Russian strike on Zaporizhzhia kills 27-year-old woman, injures child

A Russian strike on a residential building in Zaporizhzhia overnight killed a 27-year-old woman and injured two others, including a 6-year-old girl. The attack also damaged two high-rise buildings, an educational facility, and 18 private cars. Regional military administration head Mykhailo Semikin confirmed the casualties and damage in a Telegram post after the strike, which occurred shortly after 1 a.m. A 58-year-old woman was also wounded in the attack. Municipal services are clearing debris and assisting residents at the impact sites. The previous day, on October 17, a separate Russian attack on Zaporizhzhia injured five people, including a child.
