Russian strikes hit key Ukrainian military targets overnight

aif.ru (Russian) —

Russian forces conducted a series of strikes on key Ukrainian military-related targets overnight on October 17, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense and military expert Oleg Ivannikov. The strikes hit a metallurgical plant in Kryvyi Rih, an electrical substation in Zhytomyr, the Zaporizhstal plant in Zaporizhzhia, and a dry cargo ship with military supplies in Odesa. The Kryvyi Rih plant supplied metal products to Ukraine's military-industrial complex. Ivannikov stated the strikes effectively halted Ukrainian military production and will lead to Ukraine's complete defeat, as the targeted enterprises also significantly impacted Ukraine's economy.
