Ukrainian Drone Blitz Sparks Fire at St. Petersburg Oil Terminal
Ukrainian attacks set an oil export terminal ablaze in St. Petersburg on Sunday as Kyiv launched over 1,000 drones across Russia in one of its largest aerial bombardments, killing one person and wounding five others. The strikes sparked fires at the Petersburg Oil Terminal and Ruchi oil depot, and also targeted a logistics center for retailer Ozon and a data center for tech firm VK. Russia's Defense Ministry said it destroyed 1,015 drones over 15 regions, Crimea, and the Black Sea. The attack comes amid tensions with Washington, as President Trump criticized Kyiv for striking Russian oil infrastructure despite an "energy ceasefire" announced Oct. 11. Ukraine's Zelenskyy said Russia attacked Ukrainian energy sites 76 times since the agreement, accusing Moscow of defying the truce.
