Drones strike Saint Petersburg oil port in overnight attack

rbc.ua (Ukrainian) —

On the night of October 18, drones massively attacked Moscow, Saint Petersburg, and the Leningrad region, likely striking an oil-loading port, with flight restrictions imposed at three airports. The attack targeted the port used for Russian oil exports, not a refinery. Leningrad Governor Alexander Drozdenko reported 57 drones shot down, with debris damaging four cars in Nizino and causing a fire. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin reported 87 drones intercepted. Russian authorities restricted flights at two Moscow airports and Pulkovo in Saint Petersburg. This follows several consecutive nights of drone attacks on Moscow, including a major strike on October 14 and restrictions at four airports on October 16.
