Zelensky tells EU leaders Europe has enough Patriot interceptors for Ukraine's winter needs

agi.it (Italian) —

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky told EU leaders in Brussels that Europe has enough PAC-2 and PAC-3 interceptors to help Ukraine survive the winter, urging them to provide at least 70 billion euros in additional support. Zelensky stated the war will cost 155 billion euros next year and requested 70 billion for defense, weapons, and resilience, calling the figure realistic. He also said Ukraine could produce two to three times more drones but lacks sufficient funds. Zelensky dismissed claims that Putin seeks negotiations, warning the Donbas will not satisfy Russia. He also responded with a bitter smile when asked about being a scapegoat for President Trump, noting talks with US negotiators may occur in coming days.
