Five Turkish Airlines flights from Antalya to Moscow turned back to Turkey due to Vnukovo airport restrictions

gazeta.ru (Russian) —

Five Turkish Airlines flights bound for Russia from Antalya turned back to Turkey due to restrictions at Moscow's Vnukovo airport, the carrier told RIA Novosti. One of the aircraft will land in Istanbul. Earlier, Russian aviation authorities suspended arrivals and departures at Vnukovo, Domodedovo, and Zhukovsky airports for flight safety. The restrictions followed a period when Vnukovo and Domodedovo had resumed operations in coordination with relevant agencies. On October 14, ten passenger planes from Turkey to Moscow were forced to turn back mid-air over Poland, Lithuania, Belarus, and the Pskov region due to similar Vnukovo restrictions. Pulkovo airport previously accepted over 20 flights diverted from Moscow.
