Ukraine awaits Pentagon and SpaceX confirmation on Starshield restoration
Ukraine is awaiting official confirmation from the Pentagon and SpaceX regarding the full restoration of the Starshield satellite system, according to Ukraine's Chargé d'Affaires in the US, Denys Senik. Senik stated that the technology is vital for Ukraine and that reduced network speeds impact its ability to repel Russian attacks. He noted the situation has improved compared to two days ago, but speeds remain unstable, prompting Kyiv to seek clarification on whether the service issue is fully resolved. The diplomat also addressed peace prospects, saying Ukraine is ready for any ceasefire, including energy or maritime agreements, and is open to talks at the leadership or team level. Reports suggest SpaceX owner Elon Musk proposed limiting Starlink access, a claim President Donald Trump has denied.
