Ukraine launches largest strike on St. Petersburg and Leningrad region since war began

obozrevatel.com (Ukrainian) —

Ukraine has launched one of its largest strikes on St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region since the war began, hitting oil, energy, logistics, and digital infrastructure simultaneously. Fires were reported at the Petersburg oil terminal and the Ruchi oil depot. The attack also damaged an Ozon logistics center, causing a fire with estimated recovery costs up to 5 billion rubles, and a VKontakte data center, leading to a sharp drop in service availability. The Eastern electrical substation and a cable-stayed bridge over the Korabelny fairway were also hit. Possible additional targets include Gazprom's LNG plant near Bolshoy Bor and a Russian military unit. The strikes mark a significant escalation in attacks on critical infrastructure deep inside Russian territory.
