Apple is entering the foldable smartphone market with its first device, officially named iPhone Duo, according to Bloomberg analyst Mark Gurman. The premium product will start at $2,000 for the 256GB base version, with top configurations reaching $3,000. The starting price is lower than expert predictions of $2,200–$2,500, making it pricier than competitors' base foldable models but cheaper than their flagship Ultra versions. The device will come in white and dark blue, and will fully support the Apple Pencil stylus. The iPhone Duo's release is expected no earlier than October, later than the traditional September launch of the main iPhone 18 Pro lineup. An official presentation is anticipated to reveal further details.
