Bloomberg reveals iPhone Ultra foldable pricing from $2,199
Bloomberg's Mark Gurman reports the upcoming foldable iPhone Ultra will cost from $2,199, with higher-capacity models nearing $3,000, making it the most expensive phone in Apple's history. Apple initially planned a $1,999 price to stay below the psychological $2,000 threshold, but rising costs and memory shortages forced a revision. Despite the high price, Apple expects to sell all units produced, citing user willingness to pay over $2,000 for top configurations. The iPhone Ultra, featuring a book-style foldable design with a large internal display, will be unveiled September 9 alongside iPhone 18 Pro models. It will join a new premium Ultra lineup including AirPods Ultra and MacBook Ultra, with the event also showcasing new AirPods, Apple Watch, and software updates.
