Apple's first foldable iPhone expected today

Apple is expected to unveil its first foldable iPhone today, marking its entry into a market currently dominated by Samsung and other Android-based manufacturers. The device is reported to have passport-like dimensions with displays on both the outside and inside. According to Bloomberg, the foldable iPhone will lack a telephoto lens and use fingerprint recognition instead of FaceID, with a starting price around $2,199. IDC forecasts Apple will capture 31 percent of the foldable market within twelve months, despite the late start. The event will be the first led by new Apple CEO John Ternus, who took over at the start of the month. Samsung recently released its Galaxy Z Fold8 at 1,999 euros in Europe, while Huawei currently leads the segment despite US sanctions limiting its Western market presence.
