Zelenskyy Says Trump’s Russia Energy Deal Felt Like Betrayal
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said he felt "betrayed" by US President Donald Trump, accusing his administration and Elon Musk of deliberately cutting off Kyiv's access to Starlink satellite systems in a strong criticism of Washington's war policies. In an interview with Piers Morgan, Zelenskyy criticized Trump's diesel-supply deal with Russian President Vladimir Putin, calling it "painful" and stating Trump was on "the wrong side of history." He alleged Starlink services were abruptly blocked, causing "a lot of human losses," and urged Musk to restore them. The remarks follow Trump's deal easing restrictions on Russian diesel exports and his criticism of Ukrainian long-range attacks on Russian energy infrastructure. Ukrainian officials fear US military intelligence support may be in jeopardy, with ballistic missiles striking Kyiv for two consecutive nights, killing at least 15 people.
