Ukraine Accuses US of Aiding Russia as Missile Strikes Hit Kyiv
Ukraine accused the United States on Wednesday of aiding Russia by withholding missile-strike warnings and restricting Starlink battlefield communications, following deadly strikes on Kyiv that killed 15 people. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy urged Elon Musk to restore Starlink speeds, which Kyiv says were slowed, while a senior official claimed Washington was "helping Russia for some reason." Musk attributed any limits to US government control of the Starshield system, and former defence minister Mykhailo Fedorov reported speeds were being restored. Zelenskyy expressed betrayal over President Donald Trump's diesel deal with Moscow, while Kremlin officials noted the shift cautiously. Russia launched ballistic missiles on Kyiv for two consecutive nights, damaging energy infrastructure before winter, with experts attributing US fuel price rises to Iran-related Strait of Hormuz disruptions.
