Zelensky ends energy ceasefire, Ukraine resumes strikes on Russian refineries

bbc.com (Russian) —

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced the end of a pause on strikes against Russian oil refineries, effectively terminating the "energy ceasefire" declared by US President Donald Trump on Sunday. Zelensky said he ordered the military to halt attacks during the truce, but Russia struck Ukrainian fuel infrastructure and all major energy facilities on the third day, including attacks that killed civilians in Lutsk. He stated he would resume strikes if Ukraine did not receive Patriot interceptor missiles for protection. Ukraine attacked a refinery in Russia's Ryazan region on Thursday night. Zelensky also complained about Starlink service disruptions, while Trump said the US continues sharing intelligence with Kyiv.
