Ukraine's Patriot missile stockpile nearly exhausted, leaving just a few interceptors
Ukraine has only a few Patriot interceptor missiles left, increasing the country's vulnerability to Russian attacks and raising concerns in Kyiv about continued support from the Trump administration, according to The Washington Post. As of October 7, Ukraine had only 10 Patriot missiles remaining, which were used during Russian attacks and have now dwindled to a few units. A Ukrainian official described the situation as extremely tense, noting that innocent civilians are dying daily. Patriot systems are the most sought-after air defense in the world, with each interceptor costing over $4 million. While a NATO official said the PURL procurement mechanism continues to work, a Ukrainian official questioned delivery regularity, noting that since May, no one can guarantee shipments will arrive.
