Trump Calls Ukraine's Attacks on Russian Refineries 'a Disgrace'
US President Donald Trump sharply criticized Ukraine's resumption of attacks on Russian oil refineries, calling it "a disgrace" and warning it drives up global energy prices. He also claimed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is harder to negotiate with than Russian President Vladimir Putin. Zelensky had told the Financial Times that the US-brokered "energy ceasefire" was "lifted," saying Ukraine suspended its strikes but Russia continued attacking Ukrainian infrastructure. Kyiv's withdrawal came after a Russian drone attack left parts of Kyiv without power and caused low water pressure. Trump announced the mutual energy infrastructure ceasefire on Sunday, but Zelensky said he was not informed beforehand. Russia has continued its strikes on Ukrainian energy facilities throughout the week, leaving hundreds of thousands without electricity.
