Ukraine to Resume Strikes on Russian Oil Refineries, Zelensky Says
Ukraine will resume strikes on Russian oil refineries, President Volodymyr Zelensky said Thursday, citing Russia's failure to honor a US-brokered energy ceasefire. Zelensky told the Financial Times he had paused the attacks to accommodate the Trump administration, but Russia continued targeted strikes on Kyiv's energy infrastructure. He also alleged US pressure, including restrictions on SpaceX's Starshield satellite system and withheld intelligence warnings, which he called "probably" requested by the Trump team. The restrictions were partially lifted Wednesday, according to former Ukrainian defense minister Mychajlo Fedorov, while the US government has not responded. Two people died in Russian drone and missile attacks on Kyiv overnight.
