Russian Strike Leaves Kyiv and Region Without Power
A Russian attack on critical energy infrastructure has left parts of Kyiv and the surrounding region without power, according to Ukraine's energy ministry. Restoration efforts will begin once the security situation permits, and water pressure has dropped in several city districts. The attack triggered drone alerts across the capital and other regions. Debris from a drone fell on a private home, starting a fire, while Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported the damage to an energy facility caused low water pressure in multiple neighborhoods. Separately, two chemical tankers were set ablaze by a drone attack near Romania's Black Sea coast, with seven sailors missing. A NATO official attributed the drones to Russia, though President Nicusor Dan did not directly name Moscow as responsible.
