Zelensky announces renewed strikes on Russian refineries
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced the resumption of strikes on Russian oil refineries, defying a truce declared by Donald Trump days earlier. Russia claims a refinery 200 kilometers from Moscow has already been hit. Zelensky made the announcement during a NATO meeting in Brussels with Secretary-General Mark Rutte, who stressed the importance of an energy truce. The move escalates tensions with Washington, as Trump accuses Ukraine of worsening global fuel shortages, while Kyiv insists it must cut off Russia's funding. Zelensky is seeking European support amid claims Starlink restricted crucial military intelligence. He met with leaders including Macron and Tusk, as the EU's 90 billion euro aid package is deemed insufficient. Russia's Peskov accused Zelensky of rejecting peace efforts.
