Ukraine strikes Ryazan oil refinery after Zelensky resumes attacks on Russian fuel sites
Ukraine launched an airstrike on an oil refinery in Russia's Ryazan region early Thursday, hours after President Volodymyr Zelensky announced the resumption of attacks on Russian oil refineries. A fire broke out at the facility following the drone attack. The regional governor reported no casualties, though a warehouse and vehicles were damaged at a second site. Separately, Ukraine's 3rd Army Corps said it liberated 101 square kilometers in Donetsk Oblast's Lyman direction, with Russia losing approximately 3,000 soldiers in that operation. Ukraine also reportedly struck a Russian military airfield in Voronezh Oblast. Zelensky criticized the US for ending intelligence sharing and restricting Starlink access, while Ukrainian air defense downed 536 of 580 Russian drones launched overnight.
