Zelenskyy Announces Renewed Strikes on Russian Oil Refineries
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has announced renewed attacks on Russian oil refineries, ending a pause in strikes, according to a Financial Times interview, despite criticism from US President Donald Trump. The halt in drone attacks had been observed for several days, partly out of consideration for the US, which had threatened to withhold intelligence data. Zelenskyy also criticized a "dangerous" lack of US intelligence sharing and the reduction of Starlink satellite internet services, calling it intentional. Russia reported new Ukrainian attacks on oil facilities in the Ryazan and Saratov regions, with a fire breaking out at a refinery. Zelenskyy has also criticized a US-Russia diesel deal, arguing it funds Moscow's war effort, while European capitals expressed concern over a potential escalation between Kyiv and Washington.
