Ukraine builds AI drone fleet for new campaign against Russia

unian.ua (Ukrainian) —

Ukraine is developing a fleet of AI-guided drones for a more aggressive campaign against Russia, according to The Atlantic. The plan, called "M&Ms," has not yet been fully authorized by President Zelensky. The campaign has already hit at least four Russian data centers and forced the cancellation of 345 flights in Moscow. Ukrainian officials say this is just the beginning, with future AI-driven drones intended to bypass air defenses and strike airports directly. Zelensky has hesitated to approve the most ambitious version of the plan due to risks to civilian aviation. While drone production is scaling up, Ukraine currently uses drones mainly to force flight cancellations rather than direct attacks on airports.
