Ukraine receives all promised French weapons production licenses, Zelensky says
Ukraine has received all weapons production licenses previously promised by France, according to President Volodymyr Zelensky following talks with French leader Emmanuel Macron. The licenses cover manufacturing of Aster-30 anti-aircraft missiles for SAMP/T systems, AASM Hammer guided bombs, and SCALP cruise missiles. Zelensky called the talks "very substantive," adding that new military aid packages for Ukrainian aviation were agreed and are expected this month. Ukraine and France are also accelerating development of the new FREYJA anti-ballistic system. The meeting occurred amid a Russian drone attack on Lutsk's energy infrastructure, with Zelensky noting Moscow ignored a US ceasefire proposal and is exploiting Starlink outages to maximize destruction.
