Germany urges lifting Starlink restrictions for Ukraine

pravda.com.ua (Ukrainian) —

German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul has criticized speed restrictions on Starlink satellite communications in Ukraine and called for their removal. He insisted Ukraine must receive all promised support. Wadephul noted Germany partially funds Starlink technology in Ukraine and therefore demands it function properly. He acknowledged there is no complete picture yet of why access was limited, saying Germany has questions for the US. According to Reuters, the order to restrict Starshield, used for battlefield communications and drone control, came from the White House. Senator Tom Tillis is investigating Pentagon actions, while President Zelensky called the restrictions a mistake leading to casualties.
