Russian strike on Kyiv region cuts power, lowers water pressure
On the evening of October 15, parts of Kyiv and the region lost power following a Russian attack on critical energy infrastructure, with water pressure also dropping in some areas. Ukraine's Energy Ministry reported that some consumers were left without electricity and that repair crews would begin restoration work as soon as security conditions allowed. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said water pressure decreased in the Holosiivskyi, Sviatoshynskyi, Solomianskyi, and Shevchenkivskyi districts due to damage to energy facilities in the region. The air raid alert in Kyiv lasted over three hours, during which the Air Force reported Russian drones over the city and region. Authorities urged residents to use only verified sources of information and avoid spreading material that could aid Russia.
