Ukraine to resume strikes on Russian oil refineries, Zelensky says
Ukraine will resume strikes on Russian oil refineries, President Volodymyr Zelensky said, accusing the US of withdrawing crucial support after a three-day pause he imposed at Washington's request. Zelensky told the Financial Times that Russia continued attacking Ukrainian energy infrastructure during the pause, and that the US threatened to block intelligence-sharing and slowed Starlink services to pressure Kyiv. He said he would only halt strikes if the US supplied more Patriot air defence missiles. The Kremlin never agreed to the US-proposed "energy ceasefire" announced Sunday, and strikes left hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians without power. Zelensky said he felt betrayed by Washington and that it was not his role to mend relations.
