Ukraine drone attack sets Russian oil export hub ablaze
Ukraine launched a massive drone attack on Russia, igniting major fires at oil export terminals in St. Petersburg, killing one person and injuring five others. It is one of the largest aerial assaults in the conflict. Russia's defense ministry claimed to have destroyed 1,015 drones across 15 regions, Crimea, and the Black Sea. Attacks also targeted an Ozon logistics center and a VK data center. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Ukraine cannot change the course of events. The assault follows US President Donald Trump's criticism of Ukrainian strikes on Russian oil infrastructure and his October 11 ceasefire announcement, which both sides have continued to violate. Separately, Russian attacks on Zaporizhzhia killed a woman and injured two, including a six-year-old girl.
