Lithuania Thwarts Arson Attack on Starlink Equipment Storage Company
An attempted arson attack on a Lithuanian company storing Starlink equipment failed overnight on October 18. Lithuanian Prime Minister Mindaugas Sinkevičius announced the incident on Facebook, calling a national security committee meeting for Monday, October 19. Sinkevičius linked the arson attempt to a separate drone incursion into Lithuanian airspace, stating authorities need to determine the drone's origin and analyze its debris. He also said the meeting will discuss granting services additional powers to neutralize drones, noting that security forces had been alerted and the attack was thwarted. This incident follows a September fire at a Starlink ground station in Wola-Krobowska, Poland, which investigators are treating as possible sabotage and terrorism carried out in the interests of Russian intelligence services.
