Drone attack on St Petersburg kills one, hits oil and tech sites
At least one person was killed and five injured in an overnight drone attack on St Petersburg that struck two oil facilities, a logistics centre, and a data centre, according to regional officials. The attack targeted the St Petersburg Oil Terminal and the Ruchyi oil depot, causing fires that were being extinguished. A logistics centre for Ozon and a data centre for VKontakte were also hit, with both companies confirming drone strikes and reporting no injuries among staff. Ukraine has not commented on the strikes, which follow its resumption of attacks on Russian oil infrastructure after a three-day pause. Russia's defence ministry said it shot down over 1,000 Ukrainian drones overnight, while 12 apartment buildings and two homes were damaged in the city.
