Kyiv strike damages left-bank metro station and rails

rbc.ua (Ukrainian) —

A Russian attack on Kyiv on the night of October 19 damaged a metro station on the left bank, with debris tearing up the running and contact rails nearby. The station's name was not specified. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported the damage, stating that debris ruptured the track and power rails near the station. It is currently unknown whether metro service will be altered as a result. The attack involved two ballistic strikes on the city. A medical center in the Desnyanskyi district was hit, killing one person and injuring two others. Ukraine faces increasing difficulty defending against ballistic missiles due to a shortage of Patriot interceptors.
