lsm.lv (Spanish) —

A drone that entered Lithuanian airspace from Poland crashed in northern Lithuania on Sunday morning, according to officials. The incident caused damage to a civilian car, but no injuries were reported. Defense Minister Robertas Kaunas said the object was believed to have flown in from Poland and has requested Polish assistance in the investigation. The National Crisis Management Center head confirmed the drone was likely Ukrainian, possibly entering during an attack on the St. Petersburg region. Debris struck and damaged a car traveling between Biržai and Pasvalė, with the driver hearing an explosion. Fighter jets were scrambled but pilots could not visually identify the object due to poor weather conditions.
