Ukraine says Russian electronic warfare likely caused drone incident in Lithuania

pravda.com.ua (Ukrainian) —

Ukraine's Foreign Ministry stated that a drone incident in Lithuania on October 18 was likely caused by Russian electronic warfare. Ukraine has offered to provide information to Lithuania. Spokesman Heorhii Tykhyi said the drone likely deviated due to Russian measures aimed at changing drone course during operations against legitimate military targets in Russia. He apologized for any inconvenience and pledged close cooperation with Lithuanian partners to prevent future incidents. The drone crashed in the Pasvalys district, damaging a civilian car with no reported injuries. Lithuania and Latvia had declared air alerts, and allied military aircraft were deployed, though the object was not shot down due to poor weather conditions.
