Trump says Zelensky harder to deal with than Putin
U.S. President Donald Trump said Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky is not the person to deal with regarding an agreement to stop strikes on Russian oil refineries, claiming Russian dictator Vladimir Putin is easier to negotiate with. In a Newsmax interview, Trump said he asked Zelensky to halt the attacks, which resumed October 15, but asserted the Ukrainian president does not actually want peace. Trump added he is not a big fan of Zelensky, saying Ukraine was destroyed, and repeated that the war would not have started had he been president in 2020. Trump also claimed the war was initially supposed to be very short but Russian tanks got stuck in mud after a general missed a rural road, halting the advance on Kyiv. He said Ukraine has lost many men while Russia has 150 million people, and predicted the war will end soon, reiterating that dealing with Zelensky is harder than with Putin.
