Russian Ballistic Strike on Kyiv Damages 10+ Energy Sites

rbc.ua (Russian) —

Russia launched a ballistic missile attack on Kyiv and surrounding areas overnight, damaging over 10 energy infrastructure facilities across 11 Ukrainian regions and leaving at least 550,000 families without power. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reported 16 ballistic missiles and over 200 drones were used, targeting energy and infrastructure, but also hitting a medical clinic, school, metro station, and residential buildings. At least one person was killed and eight injured. Zelensky criticized partners for lacking advance warning and called on them to name Russia as the aggressor and provide air defense support, noting that blocking missile supplies and easing sanctions only prolongs the war.
