Zelensky warned to be cautious on Starlink claims, says US Treasury chief

pravda.com.ua (Ukrainian) —

U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent called Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's accusations that the U.S. government restricted Starlink and Starshield operations "extremely irresponsible" and baseless. In an NBC News interview Sunday, Bessent said President Donald Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio have categorically denied any such action by the administration. He stated he had no knowledge of any network degradation and warned Zelensky to be very careful with claims that do not match reality. The dispute follows Trump's October 16 denial of White House involvement, while The Telegraph reported SpaceX CEO Elon Musk proposed limiting satellite capacity. Zelensky cited EU tests showing no restrictions, suggesting a planned operation against Ukraine.
