Zelensky and Trump's team agree on new diplomatic steps to end Russia's war
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky held new phone talks with US President Donald Trump's special envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, agreeing to prepare new diplomatic steps to bring the end of Russia's war closer. Zelensky said the talks focused on results of the Ukrainian and American teams' meeting in Florida, adding that work with Trump's envoys continues continuously. He emphasized that Ukraine remains ready to work constructively and honestly for a real result. The president noted that partners are constantly informed about Russian shelling and air defense needs, stressing that much depends on America's position. On October 18, Zelensky confirmed the US unblocked intelligence sharing, though Ukrainian forces reportedly lacked ballistic attack data for three days.
