Trump says Zelensky doesn't want to end Russia war
Donald Trump accused Volodymyr Zelensky of not wanting to end the war with Russia, escalating tensions between Washington and Kyiv. Trump stated that Zelensky, despite receiving European and US aid, "doesn't want to end this war and probably never did." Trump defended his recent decisions favoring Moscow, including not imposing new sanctions on Russia and allowing US imports of Russian oil. He argued that signing the Graham Act would derail negotiations, and claimed Ukraine could have secured a better deal two years ago. Trump also criticized Ukrainian attacks on Russian refineries, saying they cause "serious damage" to the US as well. The war, which began with Russia's invasion on February 24, 2022, remains at an impasse with rising civilian casualties.
