Peskov calls Putin-Trump-Xi meeting hypothetical

nv.ua (Ukrainian) —

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said a potential trilateral meeting between Vladimir Putin, Donald Trump, and Xi Jinping has been discussed but no final agreement exists. Peskov told The Wall Street Journal on October 18 that all three sides acknowledge the hypothetical possibility of such a meeting, though no clear agenda has been set. An unnamed US official said Trump has not yet agreed but may view the proposal positively. The leaders could discuss ending the war in Ukraine. Aides previously suggested a possible meeting at the APEC summit in Shenzhen on November 18-19, and Trump's administration invited Putin to the G20 summit in Miami scheduled for December 14-15, 2026.
