US resumes intelligence sharing with Ukraine, Zelensky says

metronieuws.nl (Dutch) —

The United States has resumed sharing intelligence with Ukraine after a temporary suspension, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who said the halt left Kyiv vulnerable to Russian missile and drone attacks. Zelensky told NBC that Washington briefly blocked intelligence sharing, severely limiting Ukraine's ability to defend against incoming ballistic missiles. He also reported disruptions to Starshield and Starlink connections, technologies from Elon Musk that Ukraine relies on at the front. Zelensky said the Starshield speed restrictions were implemented at the request of the US government, while Musk stated the decision belongs to the Defense Department. Relations between Ukraine and the US have recently cooled, partly due to President Donald Trump's announced diesel deal with Russia.
