Zelenskyy says Putin wants endless war, not Ukraine
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy rejected U.S. President Donald Trump's accusation that he does not want to end the war, stating that Russian President Vladimir Putin is the one prolonging the conflict. He also alleged delays in vital U.S. military supplies and intelligence restrictions. Zelenskyy reported another night of Russian missile and drone strikes targeting energy infrastructure, medical facilities, schools, and residential buildings, with no prior warning from partners. He claimed Ukraine cannot fully use Starshield satellite technology to intercept drones and accused the Pentagon of delaying vital supplies, though the Trump administration denied any deliberate changes. The dispute follows Trump's softening of sanctions on Russia to ease U.S. gas prices, which Zelenskyy warned emboldens Moscow. Trump claimed Zelenskyy could have made a better deal earlier, while the Kremlin proposed a trilateral U.S.-China-Russia summit without Ukraine, a move Kyiv said would encourage Putin to continue the war.
