Rubio: Ukraine Wouldn't Exist Without US Support
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that Ukraine would not exist as a sovereign state without American support, including aid provided under the Trump administration. He made the remarks to journalists during a visit to India, as reported by Bloomberg. Rubio also addressed a Wall Street Journal report that SpaceX CEO Elon Musk personally ordered restrictions on Starlink operations in Ukraine, potentially discussing the decision with President Donald Trump. Rubio said he was unaware if Trump knew about the restrictions and emphasized the U.S. government cannot control private company activities. The Secretary of State added that the U.S. will no longer take a defensive position on the matter, while acknowledging the courage of Ukrainian soldiers resisting Russian aggression.
